Iditawalk 2013
http://www.idita-walk.com/idw/Index.asp
The Idita-Walk is an  event to promote physical fitness in the spirit of the Iditarod Sled Dog  Race. The Iditarod Sled Dog Race is 1049 miles long  beginning at Anchorage, Alaska and finishing in Nome, Alaska.
To complete the Idita-Walk, simply walk an average of 30 minutes a day  for 35 days between February
1, 2013
 to March 31, 2013 for a total of 1049
minutes
(any  combination of minutes and days will work - just reach 1049 during the 59 day
event!
).

The following website landed in my inbox. It sounds interesting. It looks like they have a
device that attaches to your bike and allows you to walk alongside your bike.
When you are tired from walking you can get on your bike and ride back to your
starting location. I'll let you be the judge on this.

MOBILE DANCE/WALK
I like this video. I don't know if this will become popular in
Portland. The Willamette Pedestrian Coalition was offering this during the 2012
Portland Sunday Walkways programs. I'll keep it posted. It is kind of fun to
experiment with while out walking.
