WALKABILITY
Walking advocacy, Equity and inclusivity,  job openings

Information:
What is Walkability? It is a measure of the friendliness of an area to walking. It has health, environmental and economic benefits. Factors that positively influence walkability include footpaths, sidewalks, pedestrian rights-of-way. Other influences are traffic and road conditions, land-use, accessibility to buildings, safety, lighting at night. Anything that improves the conditions to walking. Walkability is becoming an important concept in urban planning and designing communities. Walkable communities are equitable and provide health benefits.
